Recommended] List of Souvenirs to Buy in Germany [2024].
Hello everyone.
It might be a good idea to buy it in Germany. We would like to introduce you to some souvenirs.
I don't know how many German souvenir articles I've already written, but the more information on souvenirs the better! There are a thousand different kinds! So, I will write about it.
For souvenirs of the kind you can buy in supermarkets, you can checkby clicking for another pagefor more information, please take a look if interested.
Table of Contents
German Tablet
German vitamin tablets, which come in a container that looks quite a bit like Mentos, are very popular among the Japanese? (I don't know about other countries.) They are in vogue as souvenir purchases.
But if it's too small a pharmacy, it may not be there.... At least when I looked for it, I couldn't find it successfully. Maybe it was because I was in a hurry to find it.
Cute containers for knick-knacks, etc.
The container is also cute.
This is Germany, isn't it? The one that looks like.
If you like antique goods, you should definitely buy a variety of them.
I also feel that there are many good tea goods that are particular about their quality and inexpensive!
Germany is indeed a country of craftsmen.
I think the owl tea strainer in the above photo cost about 3 euros.
You can buy them on Amazon, but I think they are quite expensive. (I mean, I don't think there are any cute sundries in Japan that are fairly inexpensive.)
Food-related
Coffee
Although it may be overshadowed by the popularity of Italian espresso coffee, there are actually some famous German coffee makers out there.
Dallmeyer's (a well-known Japanese restaurant in the side dish section of a department store kind of things) is especially famous for its products.
Chocolates
My personal recommendation is of course the Ritter chocolates shown in the photo up top!
I really enjoyed the chocolate with pretzels in it that came out recently! It is the orange bag.
The size is just right, so it is possible to buy a lot and make various varieties, the container is luxurious, and most importantly, it tastes good, so I recommend it.
Personally, I may prefer it to Japanese chocolate.
gummi
The pair is quite famous in Germany.
Yes, it is a Haribo gummi!
For those of you who thought, “Haribo is sold in Japan, not Germany.
No, it is not.
Many of them are available only in Germany.
If you actually go to the supermarket, you will be overwhelmed by its haribo variety. Come on, go check it out!
Sometimes there are seasonal items. If you are lucky.
Stuffs
Black Forest Cuckoo Clock
I have actually written two articles on the Black ForestHere is an article about sustainability., and
I've written about tourism in Freiburg, Baden-Baden,this articleand the Black Forest area in this article, so if you're interested, please take a look.
While researching the Black Forest, I found some interesting items listed below:
Mugs and ceramic tableware
Grimm's Fairy Tales from the Black Forest (Popular Edition): German Folklore
The mugs you can buy in Japan and the ones you can buy in the EU are completely different, you know.
When I looked at the prices from the same manufacturer, they were about three times higher.
Well, I guess it's because they are imported...
I brought back a lot from Germany, but if you wrap them well in clothes, you can bring them to Japan without breaking them.
If you have some extra weight allowance, I recommend it.
Christmas drinking mugs
Yes, I bought these.
They are just the right size for coffee mugs!
Well, that’s half a joke, but these Christmas mulled wine mugs are called Feuerzangentasse. You place sugar or a cork with a flame on the stainless steel part at the top, melt the sugar, and drink it warm outside.
It's quite unique, isn't it!
I personally think these make a great souvenir from Germany.
Winter Goods
In cold countries like Germany, winter clothing is plentiful!
Especially if you are visiting in winter, why not buy some while you're there? They will definitely come in handy!
I bought socks, for example.
I also recommend buying shoes.
beard goods
These aesthetic beard shaving products are another thing that I think is very German.
I saw them particularly often in Munich.
board game
Germany is very enthusiastic about board games!
There are even regional board games, so if you're interested, please check out a local German bookstore.
