Gardening

Rosemary, wild berries, etc.

Hi there, it's Minami.

I like to try a lot of different things, so even if I get too many of each, I have trouble consuming them, so I grow a variety of things little by little.

Again, here are some of the good and the bad both.

 So here you go.

Honestly, not much has changed from November, but the harvest has increased.

Yes, December is a great time to use a lot of herbal products!

Herb-based + strawberry harvest in December is a great success.

December is a month of many events, and we tend to cook western style dishes! (Am I the only one who thinks so?)

Yes, it is Christmas.

In addition to that, in winter, I will be making stews, borscht, etc.? Anyway, I think I will be making more and more soups.

So dill and rosemary.

Rosemary is very useful in meat dishes.

I recommend it because it is insect resistant (we had a lot of insect damage this year, and the rosemary was unscathed in the midst of it, drum roll please)!

Insect damage has calmed down..?

Perhaps it is because it is getting colder, but insect damage is not visible these days.

I mean, there is damage, but I think it is no longer that much of a concern.

I feel that the plants are getting better able to compete with that.

I have already removed the netting from the wild strawberries due to a variety of reasons, but there has been no harm done so far, such as eating the berries, even without the netting!

Are the pak choi leaves getting hard?

I think the leaves of the pak choi are getting hard. They used to be yellow-green in color and looked like they would be sold in a supermarket, but I think they are turning a deep green color.

Anomalocaris is coming back.

The insects that eat have come back a bit, as if they disappeared in the winter.

in the end

I am now frustrated with growing dill and would like to try growing dill again next year!
