Home Garden Diary] Pakuchi, Dania, and Wild Strawberries [June 2024]

Hi there, it's Minami.

This is a vegetable garden diary for June 2024.

I grow mainly herbs and other usable and edible plants. I want to try many different kinds of herbs, and I don't want to get too many of each for consumption, so I grow a variety of herbs little by little.

Again, here are some of the good and the bad both.

 So here you go.

Wild strawberries still ready to harvest

It can still be harvested!

I eat it in yogurt in small portions.

Of course, May was the peak of the harvest, but that's okay.

Insects do come (mainly ants), but still, for some strange reason, the fruit seems not to be eaten.

Rosemary is alive and well all the way.

Rosemary is constant, really.

He doesn't do it, it's not overgrown, and it's been the same as when I bought it all along!

In a way, it's amazing.

I don't use it much in the first place because I don't cook meat dishes that elaborately most of the time.

I learned the other day that rosemary is also good for headaches.

The lavender had died back to an almost match brown color for a time, but at this time of year again, new green areas have started to grow back.

It has been in service for over 6 months now. Just right for neglectful gardening!

Sage and mint are also growing nicely.

The mint was so eaten by insects at one point that there was almost nothing left,

I bought some sage but have been wondering how to use it.

One day it will be used.

The pak choi started to form seeds.

Pakuchi has begun to produce seeds.

I tear off the holly part of the seed and place it in the soil when I notice it so that too much nutrition does not go to the seed,

Is it already too late? It has already withered quite a bit.

Well, let's just think that we can harvest lots and lots of pak choi in the future.

The pak choi has become very tough stems in the last month and no longer attracts insects.

sage!

New plants Dania

A houseplant called Dania? I got a new one called "Dania".

This Brazilian-born plant has white veined leaves!

It is a nice plant and its presence is still small, so it may be perfect for those who want a point of reference.

Conclusion

How was the article?

It is getting hotter these days. I hope you all take care of yourselves and enjoy gardening!
