Decide based on what you want to do in Mongolia.
I thought that Mongolia is really a country where people are divided on the activities they want to do.
Mongolia offers a variety of activities, including nomadic experiences, horseback riding, and trekking.
The preparation required will depend on what you want to do.
Example:
- People who want to ride around the meadow on horseback: previous riding experience, required clothing.
- For those who want to experience nomadic life: stay in a ger, experience nomadic life
- People who want to trek: trekking courses, necessary equipment
Plan well in advance.
There are many different types of horseback riding, so choose the one that suits you best!
Mongolia is all about horses! Isn't that a horse!
Many people go to Mongolia because they want to ride around the steppes on horseback.
In fact, there are many different things about horseback riding.
There are a variety of tours, from a full day of horseback riding all the way to the airport from the meadows, to a wild horseback riding experience over several days while camping, to a slow, small-group tour through the meadows for beginners.
Personally,Tsokht Mongolia Tourwas good, I would recommend this! (This is not a paid promotion haha)
SIM card might be wanted if you want to use a cab, but not required?
I need a SIM card, or rather a phone number, to use the cab.
Which is a cab app? I would say UBCab or something like that.
For more information, please check about the app byClicking hereyou can check them out by clicking here!
Conversely, I think it can be said that not much else is needed.
This is because, in Mongolia, there should not be much sightseeing that involves a lot of movement.
Even if you do, if you can find a place to eat a little at night or other places beforehand, or if there seems to be wifi where you are staying, that might be enough. I'm under the impression that places with gers or where you can go horseback riding don't need basic signal (although I'm sure there are tourist gers).
This is an area that will change over time, but this is what it looked like in 2023.
For food, be sure to enjoy the famous meat dishes that are a remnant of the nomadic culture!
Mongolian cuisine is characterized by a rustic flavor that retains vestiges of nomadic culture.
recommendation
- Buuz Steamed dumplings wrapped with mutton and vegetables
- Hochschul:. Lamb and vegetable soup
- Kumis(ингэний айраг) Mildly alcoholic horse milk
You can enjoy the above-mentioned nomadic cuisine in a ger, but we also recommend eating hearty meat dishes at a restaurant!
I have personally been to the following restaurants and recommend them. The meat is just huge! You can eat it in a way you usually cannot in Japan.
Also recommended if you have a companion who wants to eat something other than meat dishes. There is a wide selection on the menu.
restaurant
- Grand Lux Restaurant (Ulaanbaatar): Serves Mongolian and Western cuisine
Go to Matouqin type concerts and stores.
Here are some stores where you can listen to performances of the Matouqin, traditional Mongolian music, or purchase a Matouqin.
