Agriculture

What to keep in mind when doing a bora byte [agricultural experience] [beginner].

Hi there, it's Minami.

Have you heard about BoraByte, where you can experience farm work and earn some wages!

We have summarized Boravite in various articles in the past, so interested parties can click here to learn more about it.

I had an agricultural experience with Volavite in May 2019 and it was really good. But on the other hand, there were a few zithers that I would have liked to know about before my agricultural experience.

This article was written for those who are already considering participating in borabyte or other agricultural experience programs, but want to know in advance about the disadvantages and things to be careful about before deciding to participate.

We hope this will be helpful to you in deciding whether or not you wish to participate.

Confirm that the work you want to do can be done at the time you want to borabyte.

First of all, farming can be a wide range of activities.

That is, for example, planting seedlings, mowing, harvesting, processing, and livestock farming.

The above may be some of the activities of the so-called farmers introduced.

In other words, the work of a farmer is so broad that you need to know what kind of work and at what time of year the farmer who accepts you is doing it.

In my case, it was an agricultural experience in fruit-based, tomato, and livestock cattle breeding, but since I went for the experience during Golden Week, the plant-based work was mainly cleaning the plastic greenhouses and pulling sprouts.

(Sprouting is the process of pulling out the less well-grown buds and giving priority to the relatively well-grown seedlings while some seeds are growing on the not-so-small seedlings.)

Personally, I enjoyed it, but if you think, for example, that you might be able to eat the vegetables and fruits of this farmer's children, you might want to aim for the summer (July-August) around the time of harvest.

However, it was quite hot even during the Golden Week, so personally, I think it will be really hot in July and other months ... .

If you're greedy like me, you might want to go to a place where there's two farming operations: the livestock industry and the so-called fruit and veggie industry!

Confirmation that the timetable will proceed according to the schedule in the e-mail received from the management in advance.

There may be too many holidays for those who want to work.

In my case, once I was there, the work was done sooner than I expected, and I had somewhat more free time.

I felt that it would be better to communicate my desire to work if I wanted to work hard in advance.

I think this is quite an important point for those who are looking for money or want to learn the work.

Be careful if you don't like bugs.

It is no exaggeration to say that the bora bight is almost entirely rural, so it is almost always bugged.

The insects would be more likely to appear when you are working than where you live.

When I was cultivating a bamboo thicket, a gnat followed me around for about 30 minutes. You may think that gnats are dangerous (I did... lol), but I managed to get out of it safely (I was always shaking my head and walking fast...). (I was...lol) I managed to get out of it without any trouble (I was always shaking my head and walking fast).

I don't know if they will lend you much, but you should bring something to cover your hands against bugs and insects, as well as bug repellent sheets and spray.
(Personally, I recommend sheets for insect repellents because you don't have to worry about high temperatures and explosions. (Personally, I recommend sheets for insect repellents because you don't have to worry about high temperatures and explosions.)

People with paper licenses should use their cars a little bit in advance.

I actually have a manual license but it's been too long for me to even drive. Too bad.

Many farmers are willing to lend us their cars as a means of transportation, and we would be very happy to take advantage of this opportunity to drive.

Paper is a waste.

I can honestly say that I personally have not regretted my participation in Volubait for one millimeter.

I'd rather use Volavite again on another occasion!

I encourage you to consider taking advantage of this opportunity to participate.

How was the article?

It would be good to have some form of agricultural experience at least once in your life.
